Why ARU?

There is a new crisis in Africa everyday...

Poverty... AIDS... Famine... Orphans... War...

But in the midst of these challenges there is an even greater crisis going unnoticed... a crisis in LEADERSHIP!

Africa, and most especially the church in Africa, is in desperate need for Christian leaders to rise up!

Bill Hybles once said, "The local church is the hope of the world, and its future rests primarily in the hands of its leaders." If you can train a leaders you can transform a church... if you can transform a church you can transform a community... if you can transform a community you can transform a country.

Truly Africa needs Christian leaders to rise up to share the compassion of Christ and the gospel of hope in the midst of pain and suffering.

Nelson Mandela once said:
"Africa is beyond bemoaning the past for its problems. The task of undoing the past is on the shoulders of African leaders themselves, with the support of those willing to join in a continental renewal. We have a new generation of leaders who know that Africa must take responsibility for its own destiny, that Africa will uplift itself only by its own efforts in partnership with those who wish her well."

Why ARU?
Because Africa needs leaders with the character and conviction to transform society through the power of the gospel.
